Here at the Rocks we always look to put the freshest talent around in the spotlight and at the moment we cant get enough of highly touted London four-piece Theme Park
The band have been releasing demos online through blogs for some time and dominating the charts on internet Radio before now finally starting to catch the attention of the mainstream.
With their percussive groove and a satisfying guitar hooks easy recent comparisons can be made to the likes of Vampire Weekend and even certain elements of Metronomy but the most frequently used comparison is that the band are “fine and worthy successors to the funk-rock mantle previously held by Talking Heads”… quite a claim.
Having toured recently with the likes of Florence and The Machine and Bombay Bicycle Club and with their debut album due out next month look out for Theme Park as ones to watch in 2012
The track we cant get enough of is the insanely catchy ‘Milk’ - Check it out below…
Here at Ibiza Rocks we are all about sharing our favourite new sounds and right now nothing is being played more in the Rocks office than the debut song from Jagwar Ma.
So fresh and so new that next to nothing is known about this elusive new talent (other than he is from Australia and makes great music) his exceptionally catchy 60’s inspired track ‘Come Save Me’ has become an instant hit online and is already being talked about as a potential tune of the summer.
With a sound that mixes one part Brian Wilson with one part Phil Spector it’s easy to see why!
Check it out.
The brand new tune from The Vaccines covering R.Stevie Moore - Why Should I Love You

This weeks Rocks Blog Introducing definately has that late 80’s early 90’s feel to it as we introduce shoegazing indie rockers TOY.
A favourite of The Horrors this East London 5 piece have been quietly building a reputation for themselves as ones to watch in 2012 with their live shows and sound mixing elements of indie, psychedelic rock and electronica.
3 of the band used to be part of short lived indie outfit Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, but, with tunes like the epic ‘Motoring’ TOY look set to go much further.
They have just released two tunes for free download through their Facebook page, click here to get your hands on them.
Loving the new track from Sub Focus in Rocks HQ today, best news it’s out now! http://bit.ly/H6l5Nm
